Police use-of-force is a current hot topic. Most likely you’ve seen the term thrown around on local or national news. What is use-of-force? Well, there isn’t a universally agreed-upon definition. However, there are guidelines that the Police Foundation recently released describing a basic overview of what use-of-force is, when it can be used and what happens when it is used.
