Splash pads are a great addition to any community park. They’re great areas for the public to have fun and cool off in the scorching summer sun. When considering this addition, it’s important to build safety in from the beginning. Also consider reviewing the CPSC Public Playground Safety Handbook for additional park guidelines. Equipment like a slide will require you to seek safety guidelines elsewhere because standards do not yet exist for those at splash pads.
