The Denver OneBeacon office hosted a clothing drive for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. The drive went from September 1st through the 12th. The Denver office came together for those affected to collect a car full of donations. The outpour of support from our employees cannot be put into words.
Kele Yake, Underwriter for International Marine Underwriters, said, “It was overwhelming when walking into the breakroom and seeing all the bags of generosity waiting to be shipped off.”
The donations were dropped off at a local Colorado Red Cross office and shipped to Houston for distribution.
If you’re also interested in supporting those affected by Hurricane Harvey by donating clothing, Mark Hoppus and his clothing brand are accepting new or clean (gently worn) clothes for all ages. The items can be shipped to:

This is only a handful of the amazing groups offering help for those in need in Texas right now. It’s always encouraged to check out any charitable group before donating. Charity Navigator is a great site to check out any organization you’re interested in supporting. They also provide a list of creditable groups accepting donations for both Hurricane Harvey and Irma.
