The operation of motor vehicles exposes your government organization to possible financial loss through damaged property, injury to employees and/or injuries to members of the general public. In addition, the public’s observance of poor driving practices and damage to private property can create a negative public image for the entity.
More than likely, your government organization has vehicles that are operated by employees such as maintenance trucks, snow plows, cop cars and more. If so, the resources provided by the National Sleep Foundation will be a great reminder to those who operate vehicles within your fleet.
Fleet Safety Guide – Featured in the guide is a sample fleet safety program including example forms such as vehicle inspections, motor vehicle record checks and more.
